ABOUT US
Since 1834, First United Methodist Church has stood on the foundations of Matthew 22:37-40, “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: love your neighbor as yourself. ”
Starting from scratch, we are striving to become a vibrant, multigenerational and creative gathering of people, from different social, racial, economic, political and faith backgrounds, that worships, serves, eats, and laughs together in a friendly atmosphere. Will you find perfect people at FUMC ? No. But what you will find is inspiring preaching, heartwarming worship, and a welcoming community that has a heart for the world.

How often do you get to start from scratch? God has blessed us with this opportunity. Our vision is to revive and ignite our church, reaching out to the community and giving people the opportunity to build their own vision of what church should be like.

We believe in reaching lost and broken people, and meeting them right where they are. At FUMC, you’ll find that it’s a place where people love and care for one another, and a place to feel valued.

Our community is Southbridge and all surrounding towns.
