Reverend Kenneth Mantler began his service at First United Methodist Church of Southbridge on July 1, 2024. He is also the Pastor at Epworth Methodist Church in Worcester MA.

 

Pastor Ken was born in Northampton, MA and attended Christ UMC throughout his childhood and young adult years.  He was first called into camping ministry at Wanakee United Methodist Center in Meredith, NH. However, God was telling him that there was a need to revitalize congregations, so he was called into pastoral ministry. He also has a heart for prophetic ministry, so what better seminary than Boston University, known as the school of the prophets, to obtain his Master of Divinity.  He has served churches in Leyden, Greenfield, and Bridgewater, all in the great Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Ken is happily married to his wife, Meghan. They met at Boston University as she obtained a dual Master’s degree in divinity and social work. Meghan was recently appointed to an Episcopal priesthood at Church of the Nativity in Northborough, MA.  They have a daughter, Erin, a very active son, Micah, and a Shih Tzu named Scooter. Pastor Ken is passionate about bible study, our meal and closet ministries, and that we are a reconciling and affirming church that welcomes everyone.
